MS-DOS

Windows 95 was launched in 1995, as its name suggests, representing the most iconic version of windows. It was the first version of 32-bit windows, included the Start menu, the taskbar, and the plug and play function.

Windows NT 4.0

Windows 98

Windows 2000

Windows 7

To fix the mistakes made with Windows Vista, Microsoft released Windows 7 in 2009, which proved to be much more efficient than the previous version. This version had a much faster overall performance, could recognize handwriting, the user could preview minimized application windows. Windows 7 also came with Internet Explorer 9 and Windows Media Player 12.


Windows 8

Windows 8 was released in 2012 and in terms of appearance, it was totally different from previous versions. This version offered the user the opportunity to connect with a Microsoft account, had support for USB 3.0, Xbox Live integration, and had a lock screen similar to a smartphone.


Windows 8.1

A year later, version 8.1 was released as a free upgrade to troubleshoot Windows 8. So in the new version, there was again a Start button on the taskbar, improved performance, and better SkyDrive integration.


Windows 10

Windows 11
